1. SET UP OF RED HAT ENTERPRISE LINUX LAB :- Support in setting up of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Lab in the premises of the college to promote Linux and open Source Technologies.
2. SOFTWARE:- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) v5 media (one copy per RHA).
3. CURRICULUM DELIVERY :- This will be a beginner’s course primarily intended to raise professional knowledge and IPR skill in India. It will cater to the needs of Industry; and stakeholders from all sections of society can derive benefit from this initiative.
The course is unique because it has a blend of academicians, industry practitioners and legal consultants to deliver the sessions; thereby ensuring that participants walk back with a comprehensive understanding of the subject from a holistic perspective. Some of our eminent trainers are:-
- Training: Red Hat would depute Red Hat certified Engineer to conduct the Train-The-Trainer program. Training would be imparted to 5 teachers recommended by the management of the institution within the training premises of the institution.
- Delivery: The training should be imparted to the students by faculties trained by Red Hat only. Curriculum Contents: The Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) official curriculum would be covered as part of the programme. Please refer to the enclosed training and certification brochure for detailed contents. Seminars & Additional Programmes: Red Hat would conduct workshops half yearly on topics related to Open Source Technologies for the students and faculties of the institute.
- Participation Certificates: Students on completion of each of the module would receive a course completion certificate signed by Red Hat and program coordinators of the institute.
- Courseware: Red Hat would provide all the necessary official courseware kits for the successful conduct of the batches. Initially, Red Hat would provide 50 sets of courseware kits, comprising 2 modules, namely, RH033 and RH133
4. CURRICULUM SUPPORT :-
- Projects: All students who undergo the official Red Hat curriculum can choose to undertake projects in groups on topics related to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Project Mentoring: Red Hat would provide support by email to the mentors. The mentors would be the instructors who have undergone the train-the-trainer program by Red Hat.
- Project Evaluation & Completion Certificate: The projects would be evaluated by the Red Hat – Global Learning Services team based in Mumbai. On completion, each student would get a certificate stating the project details, grade obtained and successful completion from Red Hat India.

In fulfillment of the above scope of work, the college after signing up as RHA will provide the following to Red Hat.
Eligibility:
The Red Hat official curriculum delivered through Red Hat Academy at the college should be offered only to students who are undergoing full time undergraduate/post graduate courses of the respective college.
1. INFRASTRUCTURE & FACULTIES:- The college would organise for the necessary classrooms, hardware infrastructure and allocate dedicated rooms for Red Hat Training & Examinations.
2. COMMUNICATION TO STUDENTS:- The college will communicate all information related to Red Hat courses and certification exams to the students regularly. |

RH033 – RED HAT LINUX ESSENTIALS
Course Description :- An introduction to fundamental end-user and administrative tools in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, designed for students with little or no command-line Linux or UNIX experience.
RH133 – RED HAT LINUX ADMINISTRATION
Course Description :-For users of Linux (or UNIX) who want to start building skills in systems administration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, to a level where they can attach and configure a workstation on an existing network. |

- Recurring courseware cost: The recurring courseware cost would be Rs. 2200 per set. A minimum order quantity of 25 sets is mandatory.
- Renewal: To renew the Red Hat Academy status in the second and consecutive years, the college would have to procure 50 nos of RH033 & RH133 courseware in bulk during renewal sign-up annually.
PAYMENT TERMS
The College and Red Hat will sign an annual contract (Red Hat order form) to commence the Red Hat Academy program in the college.
100% payment has to be made in advance by mode of DD in favour of Red Hat India Pvt. Ltd., payable at Mumbai.
The students should appear for the RHCT examination after undergoing the training on Red Hat official curriculum latest by Aug 2010. This proposal is valid only till Nov 25, 2009.
